The Account Executive will play a crucial role in managing the financial health of the company. This position involves managing day-to-day accounting tasks, maintaining financial records, processing invoices, handling taxation, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and assisting with the preparation of monthly financial reports. Key Responsibilities-Account Executive job in Sector 10
1. Financial Management and Reporting
– Maintain Financial Records: Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliation. Ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately in the accounting system.
– Prepare Financial Statements: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with company policies and industry standards.
– Accounts Payable and Receivable: Monitor and manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. This includes ensuring timely payments to suppliers and vendors, invoicing customers, and following up on overdue payments.
– Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure that all transactions are properly recorded and discrepancies are identified and resolved.
– Assist in Budgeting: Assist the finance team in preparing budgets and forecasts, ensuring that all expenses and revenues are accurately recorded and tracked.
2. Taxation and Compliance
– GST and Tax Filing: Manage and ensure timely filing of GST returns, TDS returns, and other statutory compliances. Stay updated with changes in tax laws and ensure that the company complies with all local and national tax regulations.
– Income Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all income tax rules and regulations. Assist in the preparation and filing of income tax returns, and ensure proper documentation is maintained for all tax-related matters.
– Audit Support: Work with auditors to provide necessary documentation and support during internal and external audits. Assist in implementing audit recommendations to improve financial practices and controls.
– Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that the company complies with financial regulations and reporting standards, including corporate laws and accounting principles. Maintain all necessary financial documentation for regulatory inspections.
3. Payroll Processing and Employee Reimbursements
– Payroll Processing: Assist in processing monthly payroll, ensuring that employee salaries are calculated accurately and disbursed on time. This includes managing deductions, bonuses, and overtime calculations.
– Employee Reimbursements: Process employee reimbursements for travel and other business-related expenses. Ensure that all claims are supported by proper documentation and are in line with company policies.
4. Financial Analysis and Cost Control
– Cost Analysis: Monitor and analyze the company’s expenditures, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Provide recommendations to management on ways to reduce costs without compromising quality.
– Variance Analysis: Assist in analyzing variances between actual and budgeted costs, revenues, and other financial metrics. Provide detailed explanations for significant deviations and work with relevant departments to address any issues.
– Profitability Analysis: Conduct profitability analysis of products and services, ensuring that pricing strategies align with the company’s financial goals. Identify areas where profitability can be improved and make recommendations for cost control and pricing adjustments.
5. Vendor and Client Management
– Vendor Management: Establish and maintain good relationships with suppliers and vendors. Negotiate payment terms, ensure timely payments, and resolve any payment-related issues that may arise.
– Client Billing and Collections: Manage the billing process for clients, ensuring that invoices are sent promptly and accurately. Follow up on outstanding payments, resolve any discrepancies, and ensure timely collection of dues.
– Customer and Vendor Reconciliations: Perform periodic reconciliations with vendors and customers to ensure that the financial records match and that any discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
6. Process Improvement and System Management
– Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes, reducing inefficiencies and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting.
– ERP System Management: Ensure that the accounting data is accurately entered into the company’s ERP system. Help manage the implementation of any updates or new accounting software.
– Document Control: Maintain organized and secure records of all financial documents, including invoices, receipts, contracts, and tax filings. Ensure that documents are easily accessible for audits and compliance purposes.
