Position Overview-Computer Operator job
The Computer Operator will be responsible for managing and operating computer systems and related peripherals in the manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth running of computer operations, handle data entry tasks, and provide technical support to the team. This role is critical in maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of our manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities-Computer Operator job
System Operation
– Operate Computer Systems: Manage and operate computer systems, including desktops, laptops, and industrial computers used in manufacturing processes.
– Monitor Performance: Regularly monitor system performance and ensure that all computer operations are running smoothly. Address any issues promptly to minimize downtime.
– Software Management: Install, update, and maintain software applications used in the manufacturing process. Ensure all software is functioning correctly and is up to date.
Data Entry and Management
– Data Entry: Accurately enter and update data related to production, inventory, and other critical metrics. Ensure data integrity and reliability.
– Database Management: Manage and maintain databases, ensuring data is correctly stored and easily accessible. Perform regular backups to prevent data loss.
– Reporting: Generate and distribute reports on production metrics, inventory levels, and other key data points as required by management.
Technical Support
– Troubleshooting: Provide technical support to staff experiencing computer issues. Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems efficiently.
– Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance on computer systems and peripherals. Ensure that all equipment is in good working condition and address any technical issues that arise.
– User Training: Train staff on the use of computer systems and software applications. Ensure that all users are proficient in using the tools necessary for their roles.
System Security
– Security Protocols: Implement and maintain security protocols to protect company data and systems from unauthorized access. Ensure compliance with company security policies.
– Virus Protection: Regularly update antivirus software and perform system scans to protect against malware and other security threats.
– Data Backup: Ensure regular backups of critical data are performed and securely stored. Implement disaster recovery plans to safeguard against data loss.
Collaboration and Communication
– Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including production, inventory, and management, to ensure seamless operations. Provide necessary support to achieve company objectives.
– Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with team members and management. Keep stakeholders informed about system performance, issues, and resolutions.
– Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Ensure all documentation is up to date and easily accessible.

Qualifications and Skills-Computer Operator job
Educational Background
– Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
– Preferred Education: Additional certification or diploma in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
Professional Experience
– Experience: 0-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
– Industry Knowledge: Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and the role of computer systems in supporting these processes.
