Job Description

As a Dispatch Executive at GDFCL, you will play a crucial role in the logistics and supply chain operations of our manufacturing unit. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the timely and efficient dispatch of products to our clients, adhering to quality standards and regulatory compliance. This position requires a dynamic individual with a keen attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Dispatch Planning: Organize and plan the dispatch schedules based on customer orders and production timelines to ensure on-time delivery of products.
Inventory Management: Coordinate with the warehouse team to monitor stock levels, ensure the availability of products for dispatch, and manage inventory to minimize stockouts and overstocks.
Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate dispatch documents, including invoices, packing lists, shipping labels, and waybills, ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
Logistics Coordination: Liaise with logistics partners to arrange transportation, negotiate freight rates, and ensure the safe and cost-effective delivery of goods.
Quality Control: Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure that all dispatched products meet the company’s quality standards and customer specifications.
Customer Communication: Serve as a point of contact for customers regarding order status, shipping details, and delivery timelines, addressing any queries or concerns promptly.
Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve any issues related to dispatch, transportation, or customer complaints, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Reporting: Generate and present regular reports on dispatch activities, inventory levels, delivery timelines, and logistics costs to management, highlighting performance metrics and areas for improvement.
Compliance: Ensure all dispatch and logistics operations comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, including sales, production, and finance, to optimize the dispatch process and improve customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

– Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
– 1-2 years of experience in dispatch, logistics, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the chemicals or oil and gas sector.
– Proficiency in logistics and inventory management software.
– Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics principles, including inventory management, transportation, and regulatory compliance.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members, logistics partners, and customers.
– Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the capability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
– Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and adapt to changing circumstances.
– Knowledge of safety and quality standards relevant to the chemical manufacturing industry.
