Press/Weld Supervisor Job in Sector -6, We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Supervisor for our Weld Shop and Press Shop specializing in sheet metal components. This role demands an individual with strong organizational and technical skills to manage daily operations, ensure product quality, and drive productivity while adhering to safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes, a proactive attitude, and a passion for continuous learning and improvement.

Key Responsibilities: Press/Weld Supervisor Job in Sector -6

Production Supervision

  • Oversee day-to-day operations in the weld shop and press shop to ensure efficiency and adherence to production schedules.
  • Implement daily production plans and ensure that production targets are met without compromising on quality.
  • Monitor the performance of welding and pressing processes and optimize workflows for maximum output.
  • Ensure that line balancing is maintained for smooth production flow.

Quality Assurance

  • Implement quality control measures to ensure that all products meet customer and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and rectify defects or inconsistencies in processes or products.
  • Utilize techniques like Kaizen Implementation and Poka Yoke to minimize defects and improve overall quality.
  • Work closely with the quality assurance team to analyze rejections and implement corrective actions.

Team Management

  • Lead and manage a team of welders, press operators, and helpers to ensure optimal performance and discipline.
  • Provide on-the-job training to team members to improve their skills and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Handle manpower planning and allocation to maintain efficiency across all shifts.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.

Process Optimization

  • Identify opportunities to improve production processes and reduce waste while ensuring product quality.
  • Implement Kaizen principles to drive operational improvements.
  • Monitor and control rejection rates, and work on root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
  • Optimize inventory management to ensure the availability of materials and minimize downtime.

Equipment and Inventory Management

  • Oversee the maintenance and calibration of welding machines, presses, and related equipment.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance team to address equipment issues promptly and reduce downtime.
  • Manage inventory levels of raw materials, tools, and consumables, ensuring availability as per production requirements.
  • Maintain detailed records of equipment usage and inventory for periodic reviews.

Safety and Compliance

  • Ensure strict adherence to workplace safety regulations and practices.
  • Conduct regular safety briefings and provide training on the proper use of tools and equipment.
  • Identify potential safety hazards and implement preventive measures to minimize risks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure the safety and efficiency of operations.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain records of daily production activities, including output, rejection rates, and downtime.
  • Generate reports on inventory usage, manpower efficiency, and quality control metrics.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management to improve overall operational performance.
  • Assist in preparing documentation required for audits or customer reviews.

Educational Requirements

Experience
