Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Production Engineer to join our dynamic team in Faridabad. The Production Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall success of our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Process Optimization:
– Analyze and evaluate existing production processes to identify areas for improvement.
– Develop and implement strategies to optimize production efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and eliminate bottlenecks.
2. Quality Assurance:
– Implement and oversee quality control measures to ensure products meet or exceed industry standards.
– Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and address quality issues promptly.
– Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to develop and enhance quality management systems.
3. New Product Introduction:
– Collaborate with product development teams to ensure seamless integration of new products into the production line.
– Provide input on design for manufacturability to optimize production processes for new products.
– Conduct feasibility studies and recommend modifications to existing processes for the successful introduction of new products.
4. Process Documentation:
– Create and maintain detailed documentation of production processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
– Train production staff on updated processes and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
5. Cost Reduction and Budget Management:
– Identify opportunities for cost reduction in production processes without compromising quality.
– Monitor and manage production budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.
6. Equipment Maintenance and Calibration:
– Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure the proper functioning of production equipment.
– Implement preventive maintenance programs and ensure timely calibration of equipment.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
– Work closely with other departments such as R&D, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain to align production processes with overall business objectives.
– Participate in cross-functional teams to address production-related challenges and implement effective solutions.
8. Continuous Improvement Initiatives:
– Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement in production processes.
– Lead and participate in lean manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
9. Safety and Compliance:
– Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
– Implement and enforce safety protocols to create a secure working environment for production staff.
10. Team Leadership and Development:
– Provide leadership and guidance to production teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
– Facilitate training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of production staff.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
– Proven experience in production engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
– In-depth knowledge of production processes, quality control, and continuous improvement methodologies.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive positive change.
– Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards.
– Proficient in the use of CAD software and other relevant engineering tools.
– Experience with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
