As a Quality Engineer, you will oversee and ensure the quality of products manufactured in the weld shop and press shop. This position requires a proactive professional skilled in quality assurance techniques, production monitoring, and process improvement. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Kaizen implementation, Poka Yoke, rejection control, and daily production planning, along with a solid understanding of inventory management and line balancing.

Responsibilities-Quality Engineer job in Sector 06

1. Quality Assurance and Control

• Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure products meet customer specifications and industry standards.
• Conduct regular quality audits on weld and press shop operations to identify areas for improvement.
• Monitor product quality during production, ensuring adherence to ISO standards and company policies.
• Analyze root causes of defects and implement corrective actions to minimize rejection rates.
• Maintain and update quality documentation, including inspection reports, control plans, and checklists.

2. Production Monitoring and Support

• Collaborate with the production team to ensure seamless integration of quality processes into daily operations.
• Monitor daily production activities in the weld and press shops, providing guidance to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Support daily production planning and ensure alignment with quality objectives.
• Coordinate with the production team to address quality issues in real-time, ensuring minimal disruption.

3. Process Improvement

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Kaizen methodologies to enhance production efficiency and quality standards.
• Implement Poka Yoke techniques to prevent errors and improve overall product reliability.
• Analyze production processes and suggest modifications to improve line balancing and reduce cycle times.
• Identify bottlenecks in production and recommend strategies to streamline operations.

4. Inventory and Resource Management

• Manage inventory to ensure the availability of quality tools and materials required for production.
• Monitor resource utilization in the weld and press shops to optimize productivity.
• Work closely with the supply chain team to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.

5. Team Collaboration and Leadership

• Provide training and support to production staff on quality assurance processes and best practices.
• Lead initiatives to enhance the quality mindset within the team, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues and achieve operational goals.
• Handle manpower allocation and ensure optimal utilization of human resources in the weld and press shops.

6. Safety and Compliance

• Ensure adherence to workplace safety protocols and industry regulations.
• Conduct safety inspections and report any potential hazards in the production area.
• Promote a safe working environment by providing training on safety measures and practices.

7. Reporting and Documentation

• Prepare and present quality reports to management, highlighting key metrics and improvement opportunities.
• Maintain detailed records of quality inspections, production performance, and process improvements.
• Support the preparation of documents required for customer audits and compliance certifications.
