To uphold our standards and ensure customer satisfaction, we are seeking a Quality Engineer with expertise in CNC and VMC machining processes and a proven track record in managing quality assurance (QA) systems.

Position Overview-Quality Engineer job

As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire quality assurance process in our manufacturing setup. You will lead initiatives to maintain product quality, address customer complaints, and ensure compliance with both internal and external quality standards. Additionally, you will drive process improvements, quality inspections, and audits while working closely with the production and engineering teams.

Your expertise in APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), SPC (Statistical Process Control), and MSA (Measurement System Analysis) will play a vital role in maintaining our company’s reputation for excellence.

 Key Responsibilities-Quality Engineer job

1. Quality Assurance Management:

• Develop and implement QA systems and procedures to ensure that all products meet required specifications and quality standards.
• Oversee and manage process quality assurance from raw materials to the final product.
• Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues identified during production or customer use.

2. Handling Customer Complaints:

• Address and resolve customer complaints related to product quality in a timely manner.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify the root causes of customer issues and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Maintain detailed records of customer feedback and complaint resolutions for future reference.

3. Final Inspection:

• Supervise the final inspection process to ensure defect-free products are dispatched to customers.
• Ensure that all inspection tools and equipment are calibrated and functioning correctly.
• Conduct quality checks at various production stages, focusing on CNC and VMC machined components.

4. Internal and External Audits:

• Plan and execute internal audits to verify compliance with company policies and industry standards.
• Prepare documentation and assist in external audits conducted by customers, certification bodies, or regulatory agencies.
• Implement corrective actions based on audit findings to continually improve quality processes.

5. APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning):

• Lead APQP activities to ensure quality is integrated into the product design and development phases.
• Work with the engineering team to develop control plans, process flow diagrams, and other APQP documentation.
• Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to customer-specific quality requirements.

6. PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis):

• Conduct and maintain PFMEA to identify potential failure points in the manufacturing process.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
• Regularly update the PFMEA document to reflect changes in processes or customer requirements.

7. SPC (Statistical Process Control):

• Implement and monitor SPC techniques to ensure process stability and capability.
• Analyze data trends and take preventive measures to control variation in the production process.
• Train operators and technicians in the use of SPC tools for continuous quality improvement.

8. MSA (Measurement System Analysis):

• Conduct MSA studies to evaluate the accuracy and precision of measurement systems used in quality inspections.
• Ensure that all measuring equipment meets the required calibration standards.
• Document and address any issues related to measurement system reliability.

9. Continuous Improvement Initiatives:

• Lead Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects focused on quality enhancement and waste reduction.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement Lean manufacturing principles.
• Foster a culture of quality awareness among employees through training and workshops.

10. Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain and update quality documentation, including control plans, inspection reports, and non-conformance records.
• Generate and present quality performance metrics to management for review and decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with ISO and other industry-specific certifications and standards.

Qualifications and Skills-Quality Engineer job

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in handling CNC and VMC machining processes.
• Strong knowledge of APQP, PFMEA, SPC, and MSA methodologies.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 or similar quality management systems.
• Experience with quality tools like 8D, Pareto Analysis, and Control Charts.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and technical specifications.
• Hands-on experience with quality inspection tools, such as CMM, micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in a CNC and VMC machine shop environment.
• Proven track record of successfully managing customer complaints and implementing corrective actions.
• Experience in conducting internal and external quality audits.
