Position Overview-Store and Dispatch Executive job
The Store and Dispatch Executive will be responsible for managing the inventory and dispatch operations of the company. This role involves overseeing the storage of goods, ensuring efficient dispatch processes, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating with various departments to meet delivery schedules. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in the manufacturing field and possess strong organizational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities-Store and Dispatch Executive job
1. Inventory Management
– Stock Control: Maintain accurate records of stock levels, conduct regular stock counts, and ensure all items are stored properly.
– Receiving Goods: Verify and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality, update inventory records, and store goods appropriately.
– Inventory Optimization: Implement effective inventory management strategies to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
2. Dispatch Operations
– Order Processing: Coordinate with the sales and production departments to ensure timely processing and dispatch of orders.
– Logistics Coordination: Arrange transportation and ensure timely delivery of goods to customers, maintaining communication with transporters and tracking shipments.
– Documentation: Prepare and maintain all necessary dispatch documents, including delivery notes, invoices, and packing lists.
3. Warehouse Management
– Space Utilization: Optimize the use of warehouse space for storage, ensuring easy access and efficient handling of goods.
– Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations within the warehouse. Conduct regular safety audits and address any issues promptly.
– Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and servicing of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to ensure smooth operations.
4. Coordination and Communication
– Interdepartmental Coordination: Collaborate with the production, sales, and procurement departments to align inventory and dispatch activities with overall business goals.
– Vendor Management: Maintain relationships with suppliers and service providers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
– Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers regarding order status, delivery schedules, and any issues related to dispatch.
5. Quality Assurance
– Inspection: Conduct quality checks on outgoing goods to ensure they meet company standards and customer requirements.
– Issue Resolution: Address any discrepancies or issues related to inventory and dispatch promptly and effectively.
– Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in inventory and dispatch processes and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
6. Data Management and Reporting
– Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory levels, dispatch activities, and other relevant data.
– Reporting: Generate regular reports on inventory status, dispatch performance, and other key metrics. Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
– System Management: Use inventory management software and tools to streamline processes and improve data accuracy.
Qualifications and Skills-Store and Dispatch Executive job
Educational Background
– Degree: Minimum qualification of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. Additional certification in inventory management or logistics is a plus.
Professional Experience
– Experience: 2-4 years of experience in inventory management, logistics, or a related role in the manufacturing industry.
– Technical Skills: Proficiency in using inventory management software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
